CIUDAD VICTORIA, TAMAULIPAS.- De acuerdo a la versión de especialistas en medio ambiente prevén que las lluvias no se presentarán en grandes cantidades como ocurrió en 2022, por lo que estiman que impactará a Tamaulipas una intensa sequía.
A mediados de marzo es cuando el invierno estaría en su recta final y se vuelva a registrar el calor de forma intensa previo a la primavera, la cual inicia el 21 de ese mes con altas temperaturas y sin precipitaciones.
Se dijo que no hay pronósticos de lluvia para enero por lo que prevalecerá un ambiente seco y cálido por las tardes.
Ubaldo Martínez Valdez, presidente de PROAGUA del Noreste, refirió en distintas ocasiones que el cambio climático se manifestará con peores consecuencias al paso de los años, y este 23, no será la excepción.
“Esto no es temporal, va para largo, por lo que tenemos que estar preparados”, dijo Martínez Valdez.
El también ambientalista Roque Montiel Lozano, dijo que las precipitaciones se pueden ausentar por largos periodos en este nuevo año y principalmente en verano, que es cuando se encuentra más caliente Tamaulipas.
Muchos municipios serán afectados, por lo que serán los más grandes y poblados los que registren etapas criticas por falta de agua tanto en almacenes, ríos, presas, redes y lluvias.
“Por ello, es importante que seamos más precavidos, tanto ciudadanos, como autoridades, este 2023 que podría ser muy desfavorable por la ausencia de lluvias por largos periodos de tiempo”, dijo.
El efecto de “La Niña” en este invierno, agregó, traerá consecuencias en las próximas estaciones y con ello un alejamiento de tormentas.
Con datos de la Conagua, recordó que solo 10 municipios de la Entidad están en un nivel hidráulico “óptimo”, mientras que los 32 restantes sufren sequía moderada.
“Con el cambio climático existe más problema porque la sequía nos está acosando. Actualmente tenemos sequía en en Tamaulipas, a la altura de Soto La Marina”, dijo.
Actualmente, refirió, estamos en un tiempo oportuno para evitar crisis, por lo que llamó a la población tamaulipeca a ser conscientes en el debido uso de agua y evitar desperdiciarla en todo momento, no sólo cuando existe estiaje.
“Se debe prever y planear medidas para saber cómo enfrentar la escasez del agua, aterrizar infraestructura óptima, sustentable, no ocurrencias que no solucionen nada”.
Ubaldo Martínez realizó un llamado para cuidar el líquido e iniciar la “cosecha de agua”, ejercicio que se debe realizar cuando llueve y se trata de captar todo el escurrimiento posible en almacenes caseros.
